The Team

Metro Law started business on 27th September 2004. We are a commercial law firm. We specialise in commercial challenges, property and trusts. We sell a quality legal service.

After years of working with traditional law firms where juniors might see a partner briefly once a day, where there is no budget for technology advances and disinterested staff are secreted away in cubicles working unproductively, we decided we wanted to take a more progressive approach..

At Metro Law we created an open plan work environment, where everyone is involved in collective problem solving and the swapping of ideas. This transparency means our junior-staff get up to speed very quickly, providing clients with efficient legal services and dynamic cost effective solutions .

We like our people to be happy and achieving their potential. We all have complementary strengths and we apply our collective skill sets to assist every imaginable type of client from hospitality professionals, creatives and entrepreneurs to inventors.

As lawyers we are constantly available to our clients, we maintain an open dialogue to achieve positive outcomes. We get a buzz knowing that our clients are doing well and that spirit follows through to all aspects of our practice.

Like many businesses, it hasn’t always been a bed of roses. We started life in a cramped serviced office on the wrong side of town, doing our own typing (we still do,) while dealing with the inevitable growing pains, like partner buyouts, staffing and leasing issues.

This is one of our strengths and points of difference: we understand business.
